Led by Someone Who’s Been There—In Every Way
Our Director, Jon, spent years as the Director of Canyon Ministries, guiding thousands of people through both the physical terrain of the Canyon and the spiritual truths it reveals. Now, as the Director of Gloryview Ranch, he leads each retreat group into the Canyon—not just to explain how it was formed, but to reflect on why it matters.
Jon weaves Scripture, science, and story into a powerful, guided experience that helps you hear what the Canyon is saying about God’s nature—and yours.
The canyon as a testimony
As we stand at the rim of the Grand Canyon, we don’t just see layers of rock—we see a living testimony to God’s power, judgment, and mercy. We believe the Canyon was carved in the aftermath of the global Flood described in Genesis—a massive, world-shaping event that left behind more than beauty. It left behind evidence.
The layers remind us that God is not only Creator, but Judge—and that His Word can be trusted from beginning to end.
The sheer scale of the Canyon points to a God who moves mountains and reshapes the earth, not just spiritually, but physically.
The scars in the rock reflect the depths of His mercy—because judgment didn’t get the final word. Redemption did.
